Jim has been in broadcasting for over 39 years. He has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who in Entertainment and is a premier member of the Texas Radio Hall of Fame. At one time, known as "Jimmy Louis" he was a top radio personality in every market in which he has worked. Jim is an award-winning accredited professional photographer and has won three "Addy Awards" for his work on radio commercials. Jim has been involved in recording sessions in Nashville, Dallas and Corpus Christi and has produced over a dozen records that reached the national charts, one topping out at number 2. He is certified by the National Association of Radio and TV Engineers and Microsoft. His spots for the Bell System have run coast-to-coast.
Jim Burkett aka "J.J. Stone"
J J has spent over 40-years in broadcasting...the majority of it the Corpus Christi market working every dj shift from morning drive to overnights...in top forty, country and oldies. He's had stints as a newsman, news director, DJ, program director and some sales. The last 15 plus years have been as production director at 2 country stations, 2 classic rockers, an adult contemporary, an urban station and a news-talk station...not all at the same time, of course. JJ has done extensive voiceover work for radio and tv...including ads for Bell South that ran in Atlanta, Charlotte and Jacksonville, record label spots for a band that ran in Long Beach-LA, Portland, Albuquerque and Oklahoma City. He has produced audio-visual presentations for numerous agencies and production companies, including audio for behind the scenes section of the movie "Selena" for Q Productions on the DVD "The Last Concert" and imaging for The Corpus Christi Rayz hockey team and San Antonio Spurs broadcasts. He has won several "Addy's" for his production and copy writing skills.
